Question:
Tell us a little about yourself, your role, and the path to your current area.
Answer: I am the VP of Product & Technology and have been working with Focus FS for almost three years.
What are some challenges people are facing on worksites that you want to help fix?
To help people make decisions faster and more reliable with better information.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
Building a team that is well connected to each other and works on solving challenges that will have a positive impact on people’s safety.
What’s your favourite part of working with Focus FS?
I find what we do at Focus FS to be stimulating, meaningful — and the people are wonderful.
What are three words to describe Focus FS?
Fun, small but mighty, impactful.
What has been your favourite experience at Focus FS?
To be given the opportunity to develop a team of people that enjoy their work and each other.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
Seeing people develop into being better at what they love to do.
Your top three favourite books?

- Open by Andre Agassi
Why is No Great Mischief your favourite book?
I have a deeply rooted connection to Nova Scotia and family and this book shared similar struggles with holding on and adapting.
Tell us a surprising or a fun fact about you.
I like walking on the bottom of the ocean.
What are your hobbies?
Carpentry, canoeing, hiking, and anything that I can do with family and friends.
If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
People that know me well call me chip …
What is on your bucket list?
Showing my kids what a beautiful world this is. I’d start in Spain.
If you could invite any three people to dinner, who would they be?
A person I know, a person I don’t know, and someone that I love.
