Question: Tell us a little about yourself, your role, and the path to your current area.
Answer: I have been working with Focus FS as a Backend DB & API architect for the past two years. I have over 25 years of experience in software development with specialized skills in software architecture and design, documentation, development, testing and business solution implementations. I try to comply with best practices and strive for the highest quality outcomes for every project.
I am proficient in PHP, HTML5, CSS3 Javascript, jQuery, Actionscript, VB, VB.NET, ASP, ASP.NET, C# and always ready to learn and use the latest technologies. I also have experience in creating and designing relational databases that include MySql, MS SQL and MSAccess. I have developed and supervised various ERP, MIS, CMS, CRM and other Enterprise Workflows projects. I have hands-on experience creating and maintaining websites and database-driven web applications with multiple functionalities. These include workflows, business logic, shopping carts, payment gateways, reporting engines and dashboards.
What do you like most about what you do?
Ever since I have started working as a developer, every day has given me new challenges or new problems to solve. No matter how difficult it gets, I have always told myself not to stop enjoying it, and at the end what motivates me is the joy that I feel after cracking a working solution.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Working in a quiet room is what I love, and most of my time goes to typing or looking at the monitor screens.
What are your top three favourite tv shows or movies?
I have always enjoyed watching ‘Star Trek’ episodes since my childhood and I like almost everything I watch. I am a fan of the ‘Die Hard’ series and a few Punjabi movies.
What is on your bucket list?
One common thing from my list and my daughter’s bucket list is to watch the northern lights together.
